Theia By: Isabella Garcia

Theia is the Greek goddess of sight, and shinning light of the clear blue sky.

Her name (Theia) means goddess, and divine.

Theia can also be called Euryphaessa which means “wide-shining.”

Theia can be spelled as Thea but the pronunciation is still the same.

Theia is one of the original seven titans (Which there are 12 titans total now).

Theia’s husband (Hyperion) is her brother.

These are the Greek titans, which their are 12.

Theia possessed the gift of seeing into the future (or the gods spoke to her.)

Theia was the goddess who gave gold, silver, and glittering jewels to others.

This image is of a silver jeweled crossed bracelet.

Theia was associated with light and the sky. She was an early Goddess of Light.

Theia's hair color is the color red.

The Ancient Greeks believed that eyes made a small beam of light that allowed them to see. This makes sense as why Theia is the goddess of sight.

This image is of Theia, and her eyes making a beam of light making sure that she could see.

Relationship

Theia had two daughters, and one boy which are: Helios (the Greek god of the sun), Selene (the Greek god of the moon), and Eos (the Greek god of Dawn).

Theia’s husband is Hyperion (the god of light).

Relationship

Theia has 11 which are as followed: Oceanus, Hyperion, Coeus, Cronus, Krios, lapetus (lapetus' name is spelled without a capital l.), Mnemosyne, Tethys, Phoebe, Rhea, and Themis.

Theia’s parents are Uranus (the god of the sky), and Gaea (the god of earth).
