Tibetan The Book of the dead: Also known as "Barbo Thodol". Believed to be the work of Padma Sambhana in the 8th Century AD. The Tibetan acts as a guide for the dead during the state that intervenes death and the next Rebirth. It Teaches that once awareness is freed from the body, it creates it's own reality like a dream.
Buddhism Influence: Although Buddhism spread throughout Asia, it remained unknown in the West until modern times. Buddhism spread eastwards and changed China, Korea, and Japan forever. Knowledge of Buddhism has come through three main channels including western scholars, philosophers, and writers/artists.
