When writing a horror narrative, We have built on skills such as parenthesis, show not tell and using a variety of sentence openers.
We alse wrote a non-chronological report about a variety of polar animals. To do this successfully, we learnet how to use colons and semi colons for a list, generalisers and noun phrases.
In maths this half term, we have learnt a variety of skills...
This half term we have had a Geography focus and we have looked at 'Frozen Worlds'.
First of us all to hook us into our learning we had an amazing VR experience which enabled us to journey into the Arctic Circle. It allowed us to see the environment for ourselves.
We then looked at the human and physical features of the Arctic Circle and Antartica. We compared our own town of Barnsley to the island of Svalbard (just of the coast of Norway.
As our final outcome we created using our ICT skills a digital presentation of how humans are affecting polar regions.
