Maner Park Home of LCU Softball

Maner Park (name dedicated on April 22, 2021) has been the home to LCU softball since the program's inception in 2008, which was also their NAIA National Championship season. The opening game was played on Feb. 13, 2008, with Marissa Gonzalez pitching a no-hitter in a 15-0 victory over University of the Southwest (NM).

In 2019, the facility completed the installation of a synthetic turf playing surface. The eight-week installation process took place throughout the summer, as private donations and a partnership with United Turf & Track helped provide the first turf upgrades to the facility. Along with the on-field installation, renovations to the bullpens and the outfield berm were also completed at PlainsCapital Park. The official surface installed by United Turf & Track is the AstroTurf® Diamond Series manufactured by AstroTurf Corporation.

A videoboard/scoreboard by Daktronics was installed in 2020. The facility also features two outdoor cages, concessions, restrooms, and a pressbox with high speed internet and roof-filming access.

The facility is named after Otis and Faye Maner (pronounced may-nr), who were faithful supporters of Lubbock Christian College from the beginning in 1957. They enjoyed witnessing student success and they attended countless ball games on this campus. Otis and Faye’s legacy at LCU has lived on through five generations of service (to His Kingdom) and a love for young people growing their faith at LCU.

Along with Maner Park, the Lady Chaps enjoy the LCU Softball Clubhouse, which houses a trio of batting cages, player's lounge and study room, locker rooms and coaches offices. Plaques, trophies and several other awards are located throughout the facility highlighting the Lady Chaps success.

Maner Park has hosted several postseason competitions, hosting NAIA Opening Round National Championship Tournament games, NJCAA Regional Tournaments and high school playoff games.
