(Online Encyclopedia): Providing credible, accurate, reliable content on almost every core-curricula subject, Scholastic GO!® offers endless resources for research in a multitude of media. Explore nonfiction texts, world newspapers, videos and more with this easy-to-navigate digital resource designed to strengthen content knowledge, vocabulary, and core proficiency skills.
World News Digest:
ResearchIT CT: Free resources provided by the CT State Library. Databases include Academic Search Premier, History in Context, popular magazines and newspapers.
Other Resources
Adobe Express: All students and teachers have an Adobe Express account attached to their school email. Go to the Adobe Express website (https://express.adobe.com) and use your school email to log in. You may need to create a password if it is your first time logging in. Adobe Express is a powerful, easy to use tool that allows you to quickly create dynamic sharable content. Express is split into three parts. Graphics allows to create engaging images and graphics, Video makes it easy to quickly edit inspired videos, and Pages allows you to create dynamic microsites that are easy to share. Adobe Express can be accessed as an app from your mobile device or web browser.
Grammarly EDU: All faculty, staff, and students have Grammarly EDU accounts. Grammarly can be used to check grammar and signs of plagiarism.
Monthly Newsletters: Faculty and staff receive monthly newsletters on various educational technology topics.
Nearpod: teachers have their own Nearpod accounts. This software can be used to create interactive lessons.
Instruction
Library staff can visit your classroom to cover various topics such as database searching, credible website searching, digital citizenship topics, and textbook assistance.
