Q: It was said dragons are pure mana users, but the dragons who fought Aldir looked like they were using elemental magic too. Could you clarify how this works? - Feirune
A: So I want to leave some sense of mystique for the dragons as the story moves closer to them. However, since there is some room for confusion here, I'll answer in part. Yes, dragons are pure mana users, meaning they are limited to manipulating pure mana. But they are also the only beings naturally able to influence aether (in varying degrees). Arthur received Realmheart from Sylvia. Realmheart, and varying degrees of proficiency in Realmheart, will be the hint at why some of the dragons were able to conjure fire, lightning, etc.
Q: So much emotion was felt reading the name "Sylvie Leywin" when she rejected the roles and names of Indrath and Vritra. How did it feel to put such a powerful moment of self-identity into writing? - Makato
A: It was something I've been wanting to do for a while now. So when some readers were like, "Why is Sylvie still 'Indrath' in the POVs?" I wanted to tell them to hold up and that I'm building up to it. Instances like those are reasons why I think publishing as a web serial, as opposed to volume by volume, is hard sometimes. When I was able to finally build up to it and even break out of that 4th wall and put in "Sylvie Leywin,” there was definitely a sense of relief.
Q: Hello! I was wondering if we were still going to get a Cadell redesign? You had mentioned that we would a few times before. I was wondering because of the recent artworks released (and Cadell was mentioned in chapter 438 by Seris so it made me wonder). - CZPokeblade
A: He was in the most recent illustration! When Cadell does reappear in the comic, I may have him look more or less human depending on the situation since many scythes and those who have more "Vritra blood" can somewhat manipulate their appearance at times so they look more or less "basilisk-y.”
Q: Did Caera drop Silvia's core when she was escaping or does she still have it? It popped in my mind when i was reading the lastest chapter. - Lucio3
A: Oh crap, I forgot about that! Jk
Q: When Lady Sylvie stepped through the compass portal and was stuck in an aetheric void, the person who helped Lady Sylvie and was talking with Lady Sylvie. Was she, in fact, a God? - Beto
A: Nope! Kinda? It depends on how you look at it.
Q: So at this point does Sylvie basically fully consider Arthur her father while sort of disowning any allegiance to her biological families? - Vorvor
A: That's what the POV title change entails, yes! It doesn't have to be so specific to a father/daughter relationship. While it was like that at first, as Sylvie matured, their relationship was less of one of daughter and father but more of partners closer than blood.
Q: Now that Arthur upgraded the Realmheart, can he use the mana like before or can he just feel it? - $ergio
A: It's more so a passive sense that he has of mana now. He still can't actively manipulate mana like he was able to before when he had a mana core. Obviously, he has different tools at his disposal to "direct" mana, but it wouldn't be quite the same as before.
Q: Ellie is a yellow core mage, and she can give her mana to others. Recently she got the ability to siphon mana from Boo. Without this, this is limited to how much mana she can give. With Boo, is it an amount comparable to the silver stage? How much mana is Boo capable of giving Ellie? - Gryffon
A: Right! Boo can also be a sort of "battery" for Ellie to draw from if needed while she can also give more of her mana to Boo. There is no set parameter for how much mana Boo can give to Ellie but it's important to factor in that Boo can't give Ellie too much of his mana otherwise it puts him in a vulnerable position, especially during battle. Ellie's new growing powers are unique and super versatile, but she needs to be very calculative to make sure she's using her and Boo's mana wisely in the heat of battle. That's the experience portion that Ellie still definitely needs to work on.
Q: Does the division of insight required to reach Fate mean that Arthur will no longer gain and use runes from other branches, or that he will pass on his aevum and vivium runes to Regis and Sylvie? Or does it mean that he'll start gaining more spatium insight and runes on his own (I'm looking at you, force negation)? - null
A: Arthur will still have his own "limited" insights into different branches, but it'll always be stressed which branch of Fate that Arthur is more inclined toward. As for Regis and Sylvie, they're not technically able to get their own God Runes like Arthur is but he can utilize Regis and Sylvie's natural inclination toward their respective paths to get closer to gaining insight into Fate.
Q: How strong are Arthur and Sylvie? Does Arthur have the strength to defeat someone as strong as Aldir or Windsom? Also why hasn’t Sylvie used her dragon form? - caltheiii
A: Very strong, lol. I would say Arthur definitely has the strength to handle Windsom, but I don't think he's at the level yet to defeat Aldir. There would have to be other factors involved. And as for why Sylvie hasn't used her dragon form, there hasn't been a need to yet. :o
