ITA Rookie of the Year
Bruno Nhavene from Cowley College has been named the 2023 ITA Rookie of the Year.
This previous season, Nhavene held a singles record of 19-1, losing only to his teammate, Takeshi Taco, who was the #1 player in the nation. Nhavene held a doubles record of 21-2.
Nhavene won the doubles ITA Regional Championship for Region III and won the ITA Cup in doubles with teammate Boruch Skierkier. He was ranked as high as #7 in the nation in singles and as high as #1 in the nation in doubles.
Nhavene was a team captain for the 2022-23 season and is an individual who respects and loves everyone. Bruno was named Cowley's Student Athlete of the month in September 2022.
