Junior Ruth Young sits on a bench in Media looking at the Christmas decorations as the holiday season approaches. “I love to see all of the Christmas lights around media because it makes me feel so warm and happy,” she said.

Young makes sure to always have her mask on hand whenever she is in public. She did not mind wearing her mask as she jokingly said it helped keep her face warm. “​Thinking we were going to stay until after the sun went down was a big mistake,​” she said.

Young’s hands grow colder as she regrets not bringing a bigger jacket or gloves. Young and her friends waited to see the street lights and decorations turn on as the sun set. However as the sun went down, the temperature dropped significantly. “I thought it was going to be sunny so I dressed in a light coat and leggings. No gloves, no hat, and no warm fuzzy socks,” she said.
