HEAD COACH TREVOR ZEIDERS

Head Coach Trevor Zeiders enters his first season at the helm of the program and shared that his goals this season as head coach include growing the program and establishing the culture.

Zeiders is entering his third season with the program, as he previously served as the Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator.

2022 STORYLINES

PRIDE, WORK, WIN- "We have to have pride in what we do, how we do it, the team, the university, our peers, etc.," Zeiders said. "We must work every day to be better than the last day. Winning is a byproduct of doing things right. So, we must have the pride to do things correctly and the work ethic to execute to the standard. It is a Commitment to Excellence."

Energy and Chemistry- In preparation for this season, Zeiders shared that the energy around the team during preseason camp has been at an all-time high. The team chemistry has also been an aspect that Zeiders shared has improved throughout preseason training.

High Standards- Becoming national champions, AAC champions, being undefeated at home, being unified as a team, and honoring each other/being great teammates.

2022 SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE NOTES

  • Point's 2022 schedule features 11 games with five home dates.
  • Point will play league opponents Reinhardt and St. Andrews twice this season, but only the second meeting will count in the conference standings.
  • This is the first season the Appalachian Athletic Conference has sponsored football as a championship sport. The AAC's six schools all competed in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Appalachian Division. The Skyhawks will open AAC play on Oct. 8 at Bluefield.
  • Homecoming will be on October 22 against Union.
  • Senior Day will be on October 29 against KCU.
