Dear Phoenix Club Member,

Thank you for your gift to support Elon Athletics! My name is Evonna McGill, and I am a fifth year on the Women’s basketball team from Lowell, NC. In May 2022, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Currently, I am pursuing a business minor while competing in my last year of eligibility. I am grateful to be a Phoenix and express my sincerest gratitude for your support!

I started my career at UNC Asheville. Although Asheville was a great school, it was not the right fit for me. I got a second chance to find a new family, and I chose Elon. Since starting at Elon, I have felt a sense of belonging and family from my teammates, coaches, and peers. Your generosity has allowed me to be able to play the sport I love at a school that cares about me athletically and academically while preparing me for life after college. After graduation, I plan to be a graduate assistant for a college women’s basketball team. I want to stay around the sport I love while also obtaining my master’s degree. Because of your support, I can reach my greatest potential and pursue my goals.
