There is an early release day on November 4th at 12:15 for Parent-Teacher Conferences and there will be NO morning preschool on this date. Teachers will be contacting you to schedule a conference. We will be prioritizing online conferences, but can accommodate in person conferences if online does not work for you.
If you would like a conference with specialists (art, music, physical education, & technology) please contact the specialist(s) with whom you would like to meet. Staff listing and emails can be found HERE.
News from the School Nurse:
Hello CES families! Everyone is off to a great start here at CES! The students are all adjusting well and doing a great job with hand hygiene and wearing their masks. With the cold weather approaching unfortunately so is cold and flu season. With staff and students following the health and safety Covid-19 protocols, I am hopeful that will help to decrease the spread of not only Covid-19 but flu in our school community. Many symptoms of Covid-19 overlap symptoms of common illnesses/conditions such as the flu, common cold, seasonal allergies, and asthma. If your child is having symptoms at home and you are unsure if they should stay home, please notify me via email smoisan@dcrsd.org and we can collaboratively decide the best plan for your child based on the Covid-19 protocols. The table below illustrates some of the overlap of symptoms between Covid-19 and other common illnesses/conditions.
- Annual Screenings- The health office will be conducting annual vision & hearing screenings for all Kindergarten and 1st grade students starting November 1st.
- We will continue to use outdoor space as much as possible while the weather allows. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the cold weather. If your family is in need of assistance please reach out to myself or Principal Lilley.
- Thank you for helping CES stay safe and healthy! - Nurse Moisan
