Lauren Williams (Mother Superior)

Sarcastic and a little stiff, the character of Mother Superior is played by Lauren Williams (5th year). Lauren was been involved with our recent school production "All Shook Up" and rejoices in this opportunity to be front of stage. She feels that taking part in such a huge production on such a fantastic stage is a great way to gain confidence in every aspect of her life and is thankful for all the support she gets from the amazing cast and staff involved.

Cian Kearns (Monsignor O ‘Hara)

Playing head of the Convent, Monsignor O’Hara Cian explains he was happy to be playing the role, and on such a big stage. He can’t wait to expand his acting repertoire although he thinks he may have been headhunted for the role due to his long hair making him look similar to a certain biblical character!

Brendan Thompson (Eddie Souther)

Sixth year Brendan, having seen a production of Sister Act a few years ago, just knew that this was a musical he wanted to be part of and was thrilled when, musical director, Eileen Creevey announced Bridgetown College was to perform it this year. Having been involved with previous productions for Bridgetown College, "All Shook Up" and "The Addams Family", Brendan takes on the role of Eddie, the former classmate of Deloris who yearns for her affection.

Jane Cornille (Sister Mary Patrick)

Jane is hoping to delight the audience with her rendition of ‘Its Good to be a Nun’ when she takes to the stage as Sister Mary Patrick, an excitable, perky nun at the convent. A first year at Bridgetown, Jane has previously performed in school concerts at Rathangan National School. Jane feels that Sister Mary Patrick’s personality is very different from her own but others may disagree as they are familiar with Jane being a busy and involved member of the school community.

Caoimhe McCarthy (Sister Mary Robert)

A first year at Bridgetown College, Caoimhe can’t wait to return to Wexford Opera House having been involved in "Seussical the Musical" with Kilmore Tops while in primary school in Scoil Realt na Mara, Kilmore. Caoimhe plays the young, shy nun Sister Mary Robert but is looking forward to stepping out of her comfort zone to perform the solo "The Life I Never Led".

Ruby Casey (Sister Mary Lazarus)

Another third-year student, Ruby has previously taken part in the Bridgetown College production of "All Shook Up". Ruby sees this role as a big challenge but is excited to be exploring her acting skills with the support of the fifty strong cast for this show in Wexford Opera House.

Luke Mulvany (Curtis)

Luke is no stranger to the stage having been part of the cast of "Moulin Rouge" at primary school previously, but he is thrilled to be playing the notorious gangster Curtis for this production.

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing, and a truly moving story, Sister Act Jr. is a sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship.

Tickets are €15 per adult and €10 for students and are available from the National Opera House (www.nationaloperahouse.ie).
