P- Polk was a Texas president.

Q- Quakers were the peaceful agents who were in charge of the Reservations.

R- Reconstruction was the era of time when the U.S. was rebuilding itself.

S- Santa Anna was the Mexican General

T- Tejanos are what the Spanish called the Texans.

U- Unionists are people in favor of the North.

V- Vaquero was a Spanish cowboy.

W- Washington-on-the-Brazos was where the Declaration of Independence was signed.

X- XIT Ranch was the largest ranch in the 1800s.

Y- Ybarbs was the founder of Nacodges.

Z- Zunis were a group of Natives.
