What is SYNC?
SYNC is a summer program that allows teens 13+ to download 2 complete, thematically paired audiobooks per week for free. Featured titles may only be borrowed during their "free" week, but teens get to "keep" them - they do not expire once they are borrowed.
How does this work?
GO AHEAD & GET PREPARED: Optionally complete steps 1-4 below before April 27th. For more help, see FAQ information on the SYNC website.
1) Register for SYNC 2023.
2) Download the Sora mobile app.
NOTE: You may alternatively access Sora via a web browser at soraapp.com.
3) Open Sora and enter the setup code: audiobooksync
NOTE: If you already use Sora, select "Add a public library" and search for audiobooksync.
4) Enter the email address that you used to sign up for SYNC.
5) Each week - from April 27 to August 2 - open Sora and select Explore to see the week's featured titles.
When you "borrow" an audiobook during the week that it is available, it will remain on your Sora shelf even after the week is over. Just make sure that you do not accidentally "return" the audiobook since it will remove your access.
