All employee Grading & Assessment training development

As part of the Grading & Assessment team, I assisted with the development of the training around the new policies through our LMS in the form of modules, as well as creating a company-wide knowledge base.

Training New Coaches

In my current role, I wear many hats. Recently, I have been fortunate to design and provide instruction on how-to be an effective coach. The training took place over three sessions and was focused on training new coaches for one department within our account. Feedback collected in a post-training survey revealed attendees thought the program was engaging, fun, and a valuable use of their time.

Another aspect of my current role involves increasing the capacity and performance of instructors and instructional development groups by providing them with strategies and skills for enhanced collaboration. Frequently, I will facilitate participatory and cross-discipline meetings with many stakeholders at multiple company levels. I'm also proficient in developing new group working agreements as well as helping to establish norms of collaboration.

Absorb Go-Live Planning and LMS management

As part of our accounts transition from the Inquisiq LMS to the Absorb LMS, it was important to plan the communication stream to stakeholders. Additionally, as an LMS Administrator, I play an integral role in building and maintaining our account's learning management system.

Adjustments to Roll-Out Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Originally, training for the new LMS was designed to be primarily instructor-led and in-person on March 16, 2020 with an asynchronous option for those staff members that were unable to attend. In addition to supporting over 200 staff and 2400 students in my school-based position adjust to the new virtual classroom environment, the Vanguard Team (made up of about 10 individuals, including myself) was also tasked to adapt what we had already created for an online environment and to revisit/edit the asynchronous, online option. We collaboratively developed a knowledge base as well as created a self-paced, asynchronous and a virtual, instructor-led training both including micro learning, modules, facilitator guides, skills checklists, and interactive content.

Onboarding and Orientation

New Corporate and Account Resources

As part of my role on the Nevada account, I deliver onboarding to new hires and internal transfers on account specific information and resources. Working with departmental leaders, I am the first face they see, welcoming them, when they join our account. My first task as a new hire was to organize and revamp many of the onboarding resources based on my experience navigating the onboarding process.

Very shortly after joining the company, I volunteered to support corporate initiatives by acting as a facilitator for New Employee Orientation (NEO). During NEO sessions, we discuss corporate overview, corporate culture, career development, diversity/equity/inclusion, and compliance/ethics. Recently, I began preparing additional facilitators to take on facilitation of corporate NEO modules by providing feedback at teach back (dry-run) sessions.

New Educators

Typically, when new staff is hired, we were given three hours with them to complete the onboarding process. However, most times, they do not have accounts or access to county resources at the time of the county-scheduled training. Due to this challenge, I have developed asynchronous learning through our LMS which is accessible once new hires receive login credentials. I will use the time allotted to go through the presentation linked below, company policies, and use any remaining time for questions.
