The Yeoman CANTERBURY TALES

The yeoman wears a green coat and hood and has peacock-feathered arrows hung at his belt.

His face is very tan from being outside all the time. He carries a bow in his hand and wears a brace on his arm to protect it from the bow string.

A sword and shield hung at one side and a dagger on his other along with his hunting horn slung across his chest and his bright green baldrick. He also wore a silver medal of Saint Christopher.

His transportation was a horse and most likely a very nice horse since he serves the knight.

He has good clothes and equipment so he does pretty well for himself.

His rank is middle class.

He is a proper forester and a servant to the knight.

Morally he is good because he is a servant to the knight and nothing inherently bad was said about him appearance wise or other.

He knows the woods like the back of his hand. most yeoman by this time were landowners. It is implied by his excellent equipment and his knowledge of the woods that he is a very skilled hunter and bowman.

Yeoman- a man holding and cultivating a small landed estate; a freeholder.

Baldrick- a belt worn over one shoulder that is typically used to carry a weapon or other implement such as a bugle or drum.
