COI Annual Disclosure Training Tulane University

The following instructions will guide users through the process of submitting their Conflict of Interest disclosure within the Cayuse system for Tulane University.

Step 1: Signing In From Your Email

  • You will receive an email with the subject line Action Needed : Submit your COI Disclosure.
  • Click on the link provided in the email to login to Cayuse using your Tulane SSO credentials.
  • You will immediately be redirected to the COI Disclosures tab within your Cayuse Profile

Step 1b: Logging in Using Another Method:

  • If you are signing in to Cayuse without using the link provided in your email...
  • You will be redirected to the your Tasks page in Cayuse. To get started you will need to navigate to My Profile tab located in the drop down menu under your name in the top right corner of the screen.
  • You will then be redirected to the Name tab within your My Profile Page.
  • Select COI Disclosures from the bottom of the menu on the left side of the screen.

If you have already started or submitted a disclosure for this year you will see it listed here as well as its status and submission date.

Step 2: Creating a New Disclosure

Select the blue + New Disclosure button in the top right corner of the COI Disclosures page.

Select Start New Annual Disclosure and click Next.

Step 3: Completing Your Disclosure

  • Once you've created your new disclosure, you will be redirected into the disclosure form.
  • A list of sections can be found on the left hand side of the screen. More sections will load depending on the answers you provide to each question. The content may take a moment to load.
  • A red circular ! icon will appear on any question or section that is required and has not yet been completed.
  • If you need clarification on any question within the form, hover over the circular grey ? icon for more information.

A green check mark will appear in the section header once all required questions have been completed.

Once you have finished a section, you can either select the Sections headers from the menu on the left side of the screen or use the Previous/Next buttons in the top right corner of the page to navigate through the form.

Step 3b: Adding External Organizations

If you need to add any relationships, select the blue + Add New Relationship icon.

You will be asked to select the external organization you are affiliated with. Select the blue Find External Organization link at the top.

You can search for external organizations using the search box in the top right corner of the pop-up window.

If the organization you searched for is not within the Cayuse records, select the blue + Request New External Org button to have it added to the system.

Add the name of the organization and select Save.

Once your organization has been added, you will need to Save to add it to your disclosure.

Step 4: Submitting Your Disclosure

Once all the sections have been completed and have a green check mark next to them, you can submit your disclosure form.

Click the blue Submit button in the top right corner of the screen.

You will be prompted to confirm the submission. Select Proceed.

Click the green Proceed button to confirm your disclosure submission
