About Me
Hello, my name is Margaret Truong. With enthusiasm for the financial world, I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Art in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance with two additional minors in Mathematics and Economics at Cal State Fullerton. I expect to graduate in May 2024.
I currently hold a position as an investment analyst for Titan Capital Management, where my groupmates and I actively manage the financial sector in $2.4M-worth of portfolios. My interest in finance lies in mergers and acquisitions, short sales, IPOs, and corporate finance. Upon graduation, I hope to land a career in investment banking as an M&A analyst or investment analysis. I would also love to pursue higher education in Finance in the future.
About My Professional Experience
Titan Capital Management - Fullerton CA (June 2022 - Present)
During my time at Titan Capital Management, two other teammates and I manage financial sectors in equities and bonds from $2.4M- worth of investment portfolios. We build and develop portfolio management strategies through intensive research to generate maximum returns at tolerable risk levels. We also communicate regularly to clients and the advisory board through performance attribution reports to address their concerns and expectations.
Best Western Hotel - Huntington Beach (September 2021 - Present)
At Best Western Surf City, I've assisted my manager in managerial-decisions making by taking net benefit calculation into account when considering restructuring the working routine for front-desk agents and housekeepers to enhance working efficiency. My task is also to mitigate miscellaneous but noticeable charges from third parties by keeping on track of no-shows and canceled reservations. Additionally, I have to correct and adjust to mischarges other front desk agents make. Besides office tasks, protecting guests' safety by ensuring the property's security when on the premier is part of my duty.
