Jennifer Lopez parents always taught them how important work ethic and being able to speak English was. They also encouraged their three daughters to put on performances at home.
She decided to tell her parents about her dream career and her parents said it was stupid because "No latino did that" so when she was old enough she decided to move out of her parents house and move to her own apartment in Manhattan.
