From Sophia’s Desk

During off seasons we know how hard it can be to think of new and fun ideas to gain attention for your business. I wanted to share with you a great idea that Lacey is trying out at our Phoenix location. It’s a very inexpensive way to attract attention to your facility during slower times and keep your staff busy when they’re not cleaning. Plus, it adds a little fun to the workday for employees and allows them to step out of their comfort zones to engage with guests. If you are interested in more information please reach out and we can share details on where to purchase.

Franchisee Survey Reminder

Hello Franchisees!

Over the next month we will be collecting the attached franchise wide survey to gather feedback from each location. Our goal for this survey is to get a better understanding of where each location is at currently. Including feedback on some of the improvements you may have seen over the last year, as well as any challenges that have come up. Your opinions are important to us, and this survey is your chance to express those opinions, and suggestions.

When you complete and submit the form you will be entered into a raffle for your chance to win a $200.00 credit to use toward select items from Indoor Playground International.

We sincerely appreciate all the hard work you and your teams put in to running the playgrounds. Thank you all in advance for your participation in this survey we look forward to you input!

Social Media Posting 101

To Sell or Not to Sell: What is the Right Ratio on Social Media

By Giselle Aguiar

To sell or not to sell: that is the question. What is the right ratio on social media of selling vs. non-selling posts? Seriously, think about it. When you’re on social media, you don’t want to see ad after ad, after ad, after annoying ad, right? Yet, that’s what businesses think they should be posting — how great, better, faster, neater, and cooler their product or service is.

HubSpot came up with the 10-4-1 rule:

Out of every 15 posts on any given network…

10 are other peoples’ quality, relevant content of interest to your target market — even relevant news.

4 are your original content — blog posts or tips.

1 is a direct sales or promotional post.

In other words, only one out of every ten posts should be one of your own blog posts. This may seem dramatic, but think about it from the perspective of your followers. If you’re only sharing your own content, then you look desperate and selfish. However, if you’re also sharing other content that your followers will find helpful, then you appear genuinely interested. And when you do share one of your own links, it holds more value. – How to Effectively Drive More Facebook Traffic to Your Blog by Stacy Roberts on Problogger.com

More of them less of you.

Put yourself in your target’s shoes. What are they interested in? Do a survey. Do some research. Once you’ve got a following on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, the analytics on these sites tell you a lot about your followers. Check them monthly. See which of your posts got the most reactions: likes, comments, and/or shares. *Note the type and share more of those.

They are thinking, “What’s in it for me?”

Analytics and Insights tell you about your audience. What other things are they interested in? Who else do they follow? Who do they trust for information and advice?

Serve and Share — Don’t Sell – Don’t be a Spammer

“Social Selling” is about sharing and serving NOT SELLING. People will unfollow you fast if all you’re posting is about yourself and how great you are. There has to be a balance and it may take some trial and error to find the right one.

So, what is the right ratio on social media?

These are guidelines. Again, your analytics will give you a more definitive ratio as to what your specific target audience responds to and likes. Based on your analytics, you can more clearly determine what are good, trusted sources of content; what to blog about, and the right call-to-action posts that are more likely to convert a follower into a sale.

Site Visits

Site visits will be conducted over the fall and winter. We typically do these each year. Due to Covid-19, these visits were suspended. The format will follow the same visits we did in 2019. These typically are 1-2 day visits and would prefer to have you present. With that in mind, be on the look out for an upcoming email as we get you scheduled. Thank you to Chino and Riverside for your hospitality with my recent trip to your playgrounds.

With the seasonality of our playgrounds, one of the ways you can set a plan in. For questions, please email me at edward@luv2play.com and I will be happy to elaborate or offer one on one or group training.
