Dance at our Woodland Wellbeing Day

At WEA we know that a successful project comes down to finding fantastic partners….

Two younger participants with Hannah and Drew from York Dance Space.

We could never have achieved what we have without fantastic partners such as York City Knight Foundation, York Dance Space, the Rowntree Society, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and iTravel York. We are so happy to hear that York Dance Space are going to continue their Family Dance sessions. Keep in touch with Hannah and Drew using the link below.

It’s all about the laughter

"so glad of this opportunity, arrived with the stresses of the holidays and with anxiety, a room full of people I didn't know....I didn't need to worry we have had so much fun trying dances and meeting other families....when we went wrong we just laughed, people were around us to keep us on track...a great activity to try" (ACC).

We have really enjoyed our partnership with Schools in York.

Thank you Trevor!

Thank you so much to Trevor our wonderful photography tutor.

Two young nature lovers enjoying the reserve.

Through generous funding from Sport England and North Yorkshire Sport we have a number of lens balls we can give away at our final event on 24th September. If you take part in Trevor's photography session your family can take one home for free!

Trevor will be sharing some simple tips and tricks for using a lens ball, like this one. All you need is something to take a photo with; smartphone, tablet, or camera.

Two great stories to share.

Two of our younger members of Families Get Active York have decided to take their photography skills one step further. One sixteen year old girl has chosen photography at A level and a young man has not only decided to pursue a career in photography but has already been photographing at real live weddings! Well done both of you - we are so proud! Have a look at this image which was used on the front cover of the New Earswick Annual Report which was taken by Issac.
