Content Info For The Week

  • ELA (Hamby & Purdy): Students will create an All About Me project to demonstrate their writing and presentation skills in order to help the teacher get an understanding of where each student's skill level is at the beginning of the year, as well as help the teacher get to know about each student.
  • Math (McClure & McDonald): We will begin Unit 1- Statistics, this week. Students will learn about analyzing sets of data toΒ identify and determine the most accurate measure of central tendency (mean, median, or mode). We will also begin analyzing and comparing box plots.
  • Science (Simmons): Students will analyze many theories of the creation of our solar system and position of our Earth in order to compare with previous explanations. THANK YOU so much for the many donations of sanitizer, cleaning wipes and Kleenex! We use these items all year long, so having a supply at the beginning of the year helps a great deal!
  • Social Studies (Waddell): In social studies this week, students will begin working on their autobiography map project for their first summative grade. This project will be completed mostly in class time. We will review the types and parts of a map as a review before we get started.
