BIO
Teddy Lewis is a London born DJ who has been playing sets all over the UK and Europe while exploring the rest of the world as a keen traveller and blogger. Teddy Lewis first started playing music at a local Caribbean restaurant/bar at the age of 16, This is where his love for Reggae and Dancehall vibes formed. By the age of 18 he was hosting his own events and selling them out on his home turf, this is where he fell in Love with the city's nightlife scene.
Teddy Lewis took a few years out of the Clubbing and Performing scene before finding his way back about 8 years ago. Before a return to DJ'ing Teddy Lewis spent some time working in the US in Orlando Florida which included multiple trips and time spent in NYC where he was influenced hugely by the East Coast HipHop Sounds he would hear from the neighbouring apartment buildings on the upper-west side of Manhattan just underneath Harlem and the street Rappers he would encounter in Greenwich Village. His trips to Miami while in the US would only add the latin Flavour, and Soulful House vibes to his growing catalogue and love for all types of music.
On his return to the UK, he would find work in various fields only for the music scene to comeback calling. This time he would dedicate all his time to learning and perfecting his craft on all formats, taking all the flavours he experienced on his travels and adding them to the mixing pot that is a signature Teddy Lewis set. Going back to basics with Turntables, becoming a Specialist on CDJS, and being able to play on pretty much anything else from Controllers & USB's to even dropping sets at house parties on his IPAD to get the party started!
Restarting from the bottom up, Teddy Lewis had ground to make up on lost time spent away from the scene and has been building a name on the DJ circuit with a growing reputation as one of Londons most exciting DJ's, with sets ranging from authentic Old Skool Hip Hop vibes to Open Format Club sets and Festival performances which include everything from Dancehall to Jungle and Drum & Bass to Garage & Grime!
Wether you are yet to catch a Teddy Lewis DJ set or your already a fan, Be sure to find him playing around London, The UK, Europe and Global this 2019.

LADY MUSGRAVE ISLAND
I spent around an hour on Lady Musgrave island which was part of the experience of the great barrier reef trip. A tour around the uninhabited island in the middle of the ocean proves there is still pockets of paradise left on this Planet. Nobody lives on the island but you can camp for up to 30 days, there are no resources on the island so you have to bring enough supplies to last you your time there!
The island is home to thousands of birds and some reasonable size spiders, you also need to be careful what you pick up on the beach as the deadly cone shell can be found on the sand. The beautiful white sand beaches with clear blue waters surrounding set a beautiful scene, standing on the beach you can see Reef Sharks and some other pretty amazing fish swimming close to the shore. An extremely bumpy two and a half hour boat journey took us to the idyllic spot, and we got to see Sea Turtles swimming along side the boat which was amazing.
A must to trip if you are in Queensland, Australia.
NEW ZEALAND 2017
MOUNT COOK, SOUTH ISLAND
My trip to Mount Cook in the South Island of New Zealand has to be one of my most Amazing and Memorable trips to date. Not just the mountain that will take your breath away and leave you speechless but the view of the back drop of Mount Cook village its self was pretty spectacular.
Luckily enough we set out for Mount Cook during a heatwave which may not seem the ideal weather for a 10k trek around a mountain but the fact the skies were blue meant the mountain and surrounding scenery were crystal clear, as apparently a lot of the time the views are taken away by low clouds and mist.
Once at the mountain we entered a 10k trek, to find the bottom of a glacier and a lake with giant icebergs. Being a native city boy from central London, hiking in blistering heat around a mountain in a New Zealand summer didn't quite make sense but I was up to the challenge along with my 3 year old who managed about 8k completely (he was carried the rest of the way), and the trip was more than worth it.
Mount Cook is a must see if you are in the South Island of New Zealand, but a small tip: if you decide to hike around the mountain in a heatwave make sure you take enough water or you will be refilling your bottles with ice water from the rivers flowing from the mountains like I was.
