EntrepReneurship and productive projects Sustainable production of PEACH PALM in medio atrato

The project "Empowerment of Community Councils in Chocó", centers around the execution of three main outputs, which seek to contribute to the sustainable and inclusive development of the region, through responsible mining, productive project and territorial empowerment.

Output 2: Entrepeneurship and productive projects aims to demonstrate the viability and benefits of sustainable and inclusive use of natural resources, while contributing to territorial peace and improving the livelihoods of project beneficiaries.

Medio Atrato- Chocó

Output 2 of the project will take place in the townships of Bebaramá and Bebará in Medio Atrato.

As part of the implementation activities, with Asprodema, partners of the project, the delivery of tools and supplies for the farming and harvest of peach palm (chontaduro), using sustainable agricultural practices.

The 29th of November the supplies and tools were that the communities in Bebaramá and Bebará will need for the farming and harvest of peach palm (chontaduro).

This output will benefit 20 families (10 families of each township), with workshops about the growth, farming and harvesting of peach palm, using sustainable agricultural practices.

Amongst the beneficiares, at least 40% of them will be women. Who will also be trained in good farming practices and the use of natural resources for the development of productive sustainable projects.
