Summer Holiday Club Consultation

We would like to consult parents on whether a summer holiday club would be viable. Whilst we do not know the potential cost if you would be interested in using the club please complete the survey by clicking here.

School Start Times Reminder

The school doors open at 8.40am. All children need to be in their classrooms by 8.50am. Early morning activities start at 8.40am and so it is always best for children to be in at this time. Children arriving after 8.50am will be marked as late.

School finishes for the day at 3.10pm

Weekly Achievement Awards

Achievement certificates

Achievement certificates are awarded to one child per class every week in our celebration assembly.

Congratulation in week 1 to: Harper, Isaac, Anja, Hector, Amelie,Caelan, Zak, Emily and James

Hot Chocolate Friday

Teachers chose one child from each class who has gone over and above during week in helping others. The selected children then have a hot chocolate with Mr Rafferty & Mr Williams.

This weeks achievers are: Eva, Max, Beren, Isaac, Penny, Jack, Stanley, Annabella and Lily

Star Writer

Our Star Writers this week are: Sebastian, Molly, Harry, Harper, Nat, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Rory and Reuben

Design Coronation Cake Competition

To celebrate the Coronation we are asking the children to design cakes. There will be prizes for each age group.

Reception can design a Cup Cake

KS1 can design a Cup Cake and Cup Cake Wrapper

and

KS2 can design a Victoria Sandwich size cake

Designs can be on A4 paper or collect a sheet from the office. Please return all designs (with your name and class on the back) to the school office by Tuesday 2nd May.

School Nurse

The school nurse Megan Bowsher will be visiting school on Thursday 27th April at 2.30pm. All are welcome.

Megan will be giving a presentation on Sleeping issues in primary aged children, she will also be available for other help and advice.

Although this is a drop in session, it would be helpful if you could let us know you will be attending.

Up & Under Fridays after school / Summer Sports Club

Key Stage 2

The Summer Sports club will give children the opportunity to experience a variety of different activities and skills needed to play games such as Tennis, Athletics, Cricket and Rounders.

Breakfast Club

Now the mornings are lighter we are hoping to be able to take the children outside. In order to do this breakfast will only be served until 8.10am, if you would like your child to have breakfast please arrive before then.

Please book breakfast club via ParentPay by 9.00pm the day before, payment must be made within 2 hours otherwise the system will cancel the booking. If you want to pay by Childcare Vouchers or your Tax Free Childcare account please book via the school office. All places must be booked in advance.

Mill on the Brue

Year 6 will be visiting Mill on the Brue in July. Payments can be made in installments using Parentpay.

DOMPS - Dad’s of Monkton Park School is meeting for the first time in a few years at 7pm onwards on Wednesday 5th April at the Three Crowns. Come a long and meet a few other Monkton Park dads, there will be no agendas, minutes or plans just a pint or two and potentially going forward we can help the school out. Come when you can we will be there until close

Join us for a fun filled 'Weekend at the Movies' on 20th and 21st May.
