Elevator Speech

Create a 30-60 personal elevator pitch to potential employers. Take advantage of cell phone kit at the school to record yourself and use Rush to edit your pitch.

Your personal elevator pitch introduces yourself to potential employers and showcases what you can do and what unique skills/talents you would bring to the position. A good personal pitch will engage your audience and ideally be a conversation starter when you land the interview.

Begin by writing and editing your pitch. (This is only 70-140 words). You need to be succinct. Think of how you could use title graphics to highlight key words or key ideas.

Storyboard your presentation. Again 30-60 seconds isn't much time. Think of how you can use multitrack editing to add in examples of your work. This is your story - so be original and engaging.

Record and edit your pitch. Upload to YouTube or Vimeo and share to your LinkedIn, portfolio or other networking sites.
