We'll be waving a very sad farewell to our Y5/6 teaching assistant, Mrs Hugo at the end of this year. Mrs Hugo will be embarking on her teacher training and we have no doubt that she'll make a brilliant teacher. I'm sure that you'll join us in wishing her the very best of luck in the next step of her career.
Owls and Squirrels Park Visit
Owls and Squirrels had a lovely time on their trip to John Coles Park this week. We enjoyed lots of different activities, including cricket, football, orienteering and water colours. We were very lucky that we only got wet on the walk home.
Pine Martens and Badgers Park Visit
Thursday 13th July 2023, the yr 6s and yr 5s of Pine martens and Badgers were treated to a picnic at John Coles park. The two classes were separated into four groups ( adders, newts, frogs and butterflies). The four groups took part in three activities at John Coles park, they were : tennis/football , cricket and some time in the park. Pine martens and Badgers sadly got soaked by the rain but that didn't affect the amazing time they had. Before they left the park, all the Yr 6s got an awesome treat. Miss Murphy and Mr Prosser were kind enough to reward all the Yr 6s with ice cream before they left.

Chippenham Junior Park Run
Chippenham Junior Park Run is on every Sunday throughout the summer (and the rest of the year) in Monkton Park. We have our welcome at 8.50am near the Tenth Hole Tea Rooms, we then walk down to the start, close to the children's play area, for a quick warm-up. The event then starts at 9am. The course is two-and-a-half clockwise laps of Monkton Park. All the course is fully marshalled and children can run, jog, hop, skip or walk - on their own, with friends or with a parent, guardian or carer. It is free and most of all it is fun, we give out big friendly high-fives as children go around the course and if they keep coming back the children are reward with achievement wristbands.
