The Beautrait Concept A Different look at Yourself

A beautrait is a mixture between a portrait and a beauty shot. Keeping the personality of the person with bringing it to their utmost beauty at the same time.

Example of Beautraits

It means cautious handling of the light, and even more caution in post processing. The light should be soft, but strong enough to cast some gentle shadows to give depth and structure.

Preserving the characteristic features is essential in creating a beautrait

Enhancing, but preserving means adoption to what we realize when we see a person. It does not mean change to an idealistic outcome we have in mind or something artificial. That is the decisive difference to a beauty shot.

Knowing the person in front of your camera and building a relationship is inevitable in creating memorable beautraits.

Factoring in their ideas, their dreams and aspirations, reflecting the personality they want to be and the way how they want to see themselves is another key element.

Working in a familiar environment is definitely helpful in creating beautraits with people not used to stand in front of a camera.

What kind person do you want to be?
