For someone who's clumsy and frequently drops and breaks things, an AirPod case is a must. These cases are cheap, have a clip that can attach to a keychain, lanyard, backpack, or anything you carry around. They come in several different colors like blue, red, black, white and more. The silicone material makes the AirPods less likely to slip out of your hand, making for a useful and fun gift. Most teenagers drive, and parents don't want their children looking down at phones while driving. A phone mount is a very handy gift, one that I myself appreciate having. I can use it to lock my phone into a secure holding spot, and I am able to look at directions, switch songs and answer calls from my parents all while keeping my eyes on the road. These phone mounts can be found at your local CVS, Stop & Shop, and even on Amazon.com, and come in several different colors. They can be placed in cupholders, stick to your front windshield, or be attached through your air vents. Multi-charging ports have recently become a hot item in the technology market because they can charge your AirPods, apple watch and phone at all times! No more spending money on charging cords that can easily get ripped, lost or broken. With a charging port, you can charge all of your devices at once, which is more efficient than using multiple tangled cords. There are two different types of charging cords: wireless and non-wireless. Wireless is slightly more expensive, but worth it, since your teen will love simply placing their devices down and not having the additional step of plugging in. From Apple, these charging ports are around $149.95 plus tax. These are the best quality charging ports, which are why they are significantly more expensive than those that are sold at department stores like Marshalls, which are around $20. A bluetooth speaker may seem like a basic gift, but when it's waterproof, it becomes useful and fun. Kids have pool parties, and what's a party without music? This is a great gift in anticipation of the summer, or any time. I've seen portable bluetooth speakers being used at several of my friends' houses because they are easily transported and a great addition to an event. Bluetooth speakers of high quality from stores such as AT&T are priced at around $99, and can increase or decrease in price based on the quality and store you are purchasing it from. Flare pants are the new style. Bringing back what was worn in the 70's and 80's is the new trend for teenage girls. Everywhere you go, you will see at least one person wearing some type of flare pants. Flare leggings are my personal favorite, because they are comfortable, easy to put on, and stylish! You can get flare pants at stores such as American Eagle, Urban Outfitters and even Amazon online. The prices of these pants will depend on the material, with jeans being the most expensive version. Also back in style is the well-known high top converse. These shoes are commonly worn by many people in high schools and middle schools, and are gender-fluid! High-top shoes will add height, style and groove to your outfit. Customizable based on color preference, these shoes start at around $60, based on the height and colors you want. To add some shine to your outfit are interesting and fun rings. Commonly seen around Staples High School are big rings, small rings, gold rings and silver rings, all with different types of designs on them. Rings are a good compliment to the flare pants and Converse outfit, and also add style to your fingers. The new fidget toy that everyone wants is called a Pop It! Pop Its are the perfect stocking stuffer or small holiday gift that can pretty much go with anything. These toys come in hundreds of shapes, sizes and colors. You can even customize them. You can find them pretty much anywhere, and they are relatively cheap, anywhere between five dollars and up. Last but not least, the Alexa Dot. This may seem like just an annoying piece of technology, but it is a gift that is rather helpful. Sometimes, especially in high school, kids sleep through their alarms and are late to school. Once you set your Alexa alarm and it goes off, there's no stopping it until you get up out of bed and say "Alexa, stop". Alexa dots start at around $20, and increase in price based on size. This is a useful gift for helping you keep track of time and stay on top of things. Alexa can make a to-do list for you, play music, act as an alarm, set timers, and so much more!
