New policy for business travel
Introduction of measures to help the University achieve the targets set out in its 2021 Environmental Sustainability Strategy
- flight levy charged at a rate of £30 per tonne of carbon
- requirement to travel by rail to most destinations within the UK and to Paris and Brussels, rather than flying (unless exceptions or reasonable adjustments are applicable)
- flight reduction target of 20% by 2024/25
- process of additional authorisation for business-class flights
