Kicking off another week with a slight shift to weekly update.
From here on, expect to see the updates at the start of the week rather than the end of the week. Updates at the start of each week will better align with what our plans of going open source.
Open sourcing the public, hybrid blockchain LOX Network brings accountability to the network's development. We believe what we're building reimagines an already bleeding edge technology, and so we understand that there will be unforeseen obstacles that stand in the way forcing us to shift goals and expected timelines. However, we also feel that many of these adjustments are communicated to us too late and happen too frequently. This, in turn, means we communicate these issues to our clients and community members even later. These miscommunications and last second delays are unacceptable.
We began this project around the idea of decentralization, but have stepped too far from those core tenets. Our decision to build in a closed source environment was to help us better protect the code. We knew that this also meant that our work would have less visibility from public view. That lack of visibility also permitted lack of accountability and responsibility.
It's important for us to reach back to our foundational beliefs of decentralization and open sourcing.
As the open sourcing process unfolds, the start of week updates will progress into a discussion of what facets of the project are complete, what tasks are being worked on, who's working on them, what tasks are available to the community to assist with, et cetera. It will allow our #LOXFamily, or any other blockchain enthusiast familiar with the languages used, to contribute in the development of the LOX Network and even offering the ability to build your own project on the LOX Network before the hybrid blockchain's official release.
That said, other LOX Technology projects, such as the SmartLOX Mobile Security Application and soon-to-be announced NFT platform, will continue to be developed in house, in a closed source environment.
