What you Need to Autocross

The main SCCA website has some great information about autocross. Reading a few articles and guides can help you out before you even start driving! SCCA also has a great YouTube channel that has a Hoosier Shop Manual Series. This series provides insight for driving and how to set up your car. Below is a fantastic article that's on the SCCA website and is very helpful for any of our first timers or returning members.

Barney Navarro became the first hot rodder to place a GMC supercharger on a flathead Ford V-8 and race it, eventually recording a 147 mph pass on the dry lake beds with the engine and influencing generations of supercharger addicts after him.

Announcements!

The NWOR Archives Are Now Open!!!

NWOR now has a climate-controlled storage area for any and all historically significant NWOR items. We are currently in the consolidation stage and have started with items from the past two historians, Wayne Zitkus and Phil Schmidt. With that in mind, if you have any historically significant NWOR items that you would like to donate to the archives, please contact our NWOR Historian, Robert Chrismas, at chrismasr@gmail.com. Arrangements will be made for pick-up of any items.

Stage Two will be cataloging of all of documents and hard items (and yes this could take a while!). Stage Three will be scanning of anything that could potentially degrade over time (also a potentially long process).

We have decided to move the NWOR SCCA Awards Banquet to May 14th 2022.

Located at: 5215 Monroe St, in the Beverly Hills Shopping Plaza
Cost: $30 per person
Arrive at: 6pm
Dinner at: 6:30pm
BBQ Buffet Dinner
Non-alcoholic drinks included
Full cash bar
