Sterling North wrote the book Rascal because this was actually a true story about the adventures he has in his neighborhood and his observations as a boy. The reason why he got the racoons was because he was longing for a word from his brother Hershel .

He is holding his other racoons he got when Rascal left him.

Also in the book it said that he got the spanish flu and that his mom always wanted him to be a writer and his sister jessica is a acutual poet

The theme in rascal is not about friendship but about loss, and the quality of it.

I think the book Rascal is a first person book because it say's a lot of my, I, we, me

I also know that the book Rascal is 1st person because it only talk's about what the boy thinks and say's and what he think's that Rascal is trying to say

The characters in the story are Rascal the racoon , Sterling the author and the owner of Rascal, and Sterling's dad,and the town bully. Rascal is a very curious and trouble making racoon . Sterling is very creative and honest, brave ,and trustful.

The exposition of the story is Rascal getting older. The rising action in the story is rascal causing trouble in the neighborhood. The climax of the story is Sterling having to put a leash and cage rascal .

The climax of the story is Sterling having to put a leash on Rascal. The falling action of the story is people giving Sterling ideas of leaving Rascal. The Resolution of the story is Sterling letting Rascal choose to stay or to be free.

Setting

The setting in the book Rascal is their their house but mainly in their neighbor hood
