**Mission Statement for Independent Equality Solutions**

At **Independent Equality Solutions**, our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities by providing equitable opportunities for independence and success. Guided by our commitment to **"Independence Through Equality, Solutions Through Empowerment,"** we deliver personalized support services that break down barriers and foster self-sufficiency. Through job development, coaching, transportation, and community-based services, we create pathways for individuals to thrive in their careers and daily lives. Our goal is to champion inclusion, advocate for accessibility, and build a future where everyone has the resources and opportunities to achieve their fullest potential.

History

At Independent Equality Solutions LLC (IES), founded in 2017 by Malcolm Porter, our mission is to foster independence and promote equality by empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their fullest potential. We provide innovative, person-centered solutions that enhance quality of life, encourage personal growth, and facilitate meaningful community integration. Guided by our commitment to independence through equality, we strive to create supportive environments where all individuals can thrive, succeed, and experience genuine empowerment.

IES specializes in comprehensive employment services, including job development, job coaching, On-The-Job Supports (OTJS), travel training, and follow-along supports. Additionally, we provide Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) and Homemaker/Personal Care (HPC) services to further support individual independence and integration.

Currently serving 24 counties throughout Ohio, our dedicated team—which includes three skilled job developers and a transportation coordinator—works closely with individuals to identify positions aligned with their interests and strengths. We offer personalized assistance in resume building, creating impactful cover letters, completing job applications, and developing essential employability skills. Furthermore, we provide ongoing support to ensure sustainable employment success.

Employee Profiles

Malcolm Porter(Owner) CESP

Malcolm founded IES in August of 2017. He has over 10 years experience as a job developer and has worked tirelessly for his clients to obtain employment. He specializes in finding jobs for the hard to employ clients. He has found jobs for felons and those with multiple felonies. He advocates for his clients and builds personal relationships with them to help them reach their goal of employment. He works to establish and maintain relationships with employers and community organizations to develop job opportunities and support continued employment.

Samantha Voshel ( Director of Community Employment) CESP

Samantha is a CESP certified employment specialist. She has worked for IES for 4 years as a job developer. She has years of experience in working to find jobs that fits her clients specific needs. She specializes in building and sustaining community connections that promote disability awareness and job inclusiveness. Samantha has established herself as an advocate for equality within the workplace for individuals with disabilities. . She has established many strong relationships with business partners. Along with partnerships within the local business community. Samantha represents IES in a number of employment collaboratives including collaboratives in Summit, Medina, Portage, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. Carly Sichau (CESP)

Carly has been employed at IES since 2019 as a job developer. Carly sits on the Board for the Cuyahoga County Employment Collaborative. Carly is a skilled Job Developer with 7 years’ experience in different fields of employment. Running the discovery program at her old agency gave her the tools and experience to engage and establish trust with individuals and employers, to help with making the best match for individuals and employers. Carly has knowledge on utilizing behavior management techniques by the state that help achieve individual’s goals that are attainable. Carly continues to support and advocate for individuals while out in the community with the main goal to help promote independence, choices, and empowerment while assuring individuals health and safety needs are always met. Carly initiates and maintains ongoing personal contacts with a variety of businesses. She has a keen understanding of personal relationships which aid in not only understanding the individual’s needs but also in developing and maintaining strong rapport with local business leaders. She works diligently for her clients making sure all their employment needs are met. She currently covers Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Lorain, Geauga and Lake Counties.

Dennis Voshel (Transportation Coordinator)

Dennis has worked at IES since 2019. In his current role as the transportation coordinator he understands the needs of the individuals in order to get them to work or assist them with other transportation needs. Dennis reviews and revises transportation schedules to ensure increased efficiency. He prides himself on maintaining driver accountability to achieve success .Dennis monitors the day to day activates of our individuals to ensure they make it to where they need to be on time. He works with individuals as well as employers to obtain schedules to ensure they are where they need to be in a timely manner.

Job Application

Michael was in job development for one month. He has worked at JoAnn Fabrics in Hudson since this past April. He is a full-time employee working in the store's picking department. Michael has done well in the position and exceeded expectations. He was recently hired in after meeting the requirement of picking at 95% of the companies goal.
