Principal Hauser's Eagle Update
Fall Parent Teacher Conferences

Information was sent out via School Messenger last week to sign up for the Parent Teacher Conferences. Below is the link to the Sign Ups for all teachers and staff members if you would like to schedule a conference with them.

If you sign up for in person conferences at East, please arrive at the school at least 5 minutes before your first scheduled conference. Room numbers for the teachers are listed on the spreadsheet and maps will be available if needed when you enter the school. When you are scheduling your conferences, please allow at least 5 minutes between appointments so that you will be able to travel from one room to another.

If you sign up for a virtual conference (only available Thursday November 3 from 12-1:30), you will click on the teacher's Zoom link and can use the passcode Eagles1. You will be placed in the virtual waiting room and the teacher will let you in at your conference time.

The Office Staff at East will send out a reminder the day before conferences with the links again so that you can access the sign ups, but it would be a good idea to write down the conferences you signed up for with the time and room number for your records. If you encounter any problems, please call the main office at (586) 493-5200 and we would be happy to assist you.

Eagle of the Week

New to MSE this year is the "Eagle of the Week" Award. Each week, teachers will nominate and we will select about one student from each grade level that goes above and beyond each and every day in the classroom and in our school. These students will be honored with a nomination by a teacher, they'll get to take a picture with our "Eagle Trophy" and they sign their name on the trophy where it will stay for years to come! Next time you're at MSE, stop by the showcase in the main lobby to see the trophy and the students who have won it so far! This weeks' Eagles of the Week are: Marcus H. and Brennan Y.

Positive Referrals and Behaviors

Congrats to Lilyann U., Natalia C, and Norah Y for being selected as the MSE positive acts of the week. Keep up the great job students, we are so proud of you! #BeTheChange #ItsAEastThing
