Senior Digital Literacy
My name is Bob Boze and I’m an author. I live at St. Paul’s Plaza, a senior residence in Chula Vista.
I thought I was pretty savvy when it comes to technology and software applications, but Whitney quickly taught me there is always more to learn.
Each time I've attended a session, I've learned something new. Actually, there are several items and things that will undoubtedly assist me in my Zoom sessions and PowerPoint presentations. I'm not sure what the next session will be about, but I'm looking forward to learning something new that will make my life easier.
SDFF's Senior Golden Triangle collaboration, which includes SDFF providing the curriculum, Senior Tech Ambassadors teaching the curriculum, and partner sites providing space for classes and workshops, is an important resource for seniors seeking to solve problesm with technology.
"This class was just what the Dr. ordered! The detailed lectures and course materials are great for just about everyone, ...and for me who didn't have a clue, it has been a life saver!" - Maria Maya
Classes and workshops help seniors gain confidence in using computers and the internet, but they also help them stay connected with loved ones.
"What a great organization! Helping those with disabilities, seniors, low-income families, and nonprofit groups with purchasing refurbished laptops that are very reasonable in price and quality." - Scott
