The Digital Lounge is a creative makerspace where members of the Annenberg community can learn to experiment and play with the digital tools they have received as part of the Digital Literacy Initiative.
Located on the third floor of the new, state-of-the-art building, Wallis Annenberg Hall, right in the heart of campus and literally designed to foster creativity, collaboration and media. Through workshops, events, help desk support and Adobe Certification Courses, the DL aims to promote a DIY culture that empowers the students to create and learn, regardless of their background or prior experience.

- Working In The Video Industry: the purpose, audience, and audience needs for preparing video.
- Determine whether content is relevant to the purpose, the audience, and their need. Key Terms: Client goals, Target audience, demographics, accessibility, etc.
- Communicate with colleagues and clients about project plans.
- Demonstrate knowledge of techniques for communicating ideas about project plans with peers and clients. Key Terms: Pre-production: shot list, script writing, storyboarding, design comp or sketch, etc.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic project management concepts.
- Determine the type of copyright, permissions, and licensing required to use specific content.

Join Us
The Certification Courses are 10-week courses taught by Adobe Experts. The courses take you through your chosen Adobe software, inside and out. At the end of the course, you’ll take an exam to receive a certificate–hello, resume booster! .
The course is free to all current Annenberg students, with the optional purchase of a textbook (specifically, the Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere Classroom-in-a-Book).
How to Sign Up
Students will be able to sign up starting January 10th at the Annenberg DL (ANN 301) 9 am – 5 pm or online with the registration form.
Classes will start the week of January 24th, in the Annenbrg Digital Lounge classroom (ANN 301D).
