Who was my explorer? Where is he from?

Juan Ponce de leon was from and born in Santevanas De Campos , Spain 1460 His adventures and life ended in Havana ,Cuba 1521. As he lived his family grew to be very poor but he grew to be a strong boy\ man.

Why did he go on a expedition?

Like many Spanish explorers Juan went on a expedition for gold and very valuble things. He did not just go on the expedition he led the expedition! In 1493 he began a quest as part of Christopher Cholumbus's 2nd expedition.

What did he find?

On his expedition Juan found gold and valuables . He not only found suviners but he also found states and islands! He found the state we know home of Mickey Mouse ... Florida! He also found the Gulf stream & Santo Domingo (now called Dominican Republic)

How did he impact migration?

We give thanks to Juan Ponce de leon for discovering the many islands, states, and stream. Now humans or animals\ insects may live there as their home. He impacted migration as I said he found three different places\ things to help in our everyday lifes.
