Parent Forum
Thank you to all parents who came to the Parent Forum on Tuesday.
School reports to parents will now be sent out termly under a new format. The focus will be on how your child is doing in school, their attitudes to learning, skills they have gained during the term in all areas of the curriculum, their next steps in Maths, English and ICT and advice on how parents can support their child. This is in line with the new guidance for schools. Attendance will be shown as number of sessions attended in addition to the attendance percentage figure.
Parents attending the forum would like to see the reintroduction of specific maths, reading, ICT information evenings for parents. In addition, there should be small amounts of information in the newsletter to explain the changes to education in Wales.
The residential visit planned for Year 5&6 next May was discussed. There will also be an adventurous activity day for Year 3&4.
Going forward, further parent forum meetings will be held each half term. Please come along to share your ideas and help shape the education we offer to pupils at Forden.
Redridge
