Introduction

TDR Global developed an online compendium featuring a collection of stories from women researchers, TDR grantees and trainees – to inspire young women in science. This 40-page online compendium focuses on the challenges and victories of these women, particularly those who benefitted from a TDR partnership.

The Ask

For over 40 years, TDR has been working hard at fighting diseases of poverty.

TDR Global aims to create an ecosystem to enable mentoring, collaboration for research and training, and the sharing of research and training resources and tools. It is also intended to foster broadcast discussions and global communities of practice meetings covering specific topics and issues of the day.

This 40-page compendium follows the stories of 15 very different women researchers, sharing a collection of stories from TDR grantees and trainees to inspire young women scientists across the world.

Ultimately, it focuses on women’s journeys, to inspire and invigorate the next generation of scientists and researchers. The strides and sacrifices of these women inspire and uplift.
