Al Jisr - The Bridge February 2023 Al Jisr Collective

This work is a project of Al Jisr Collective. Fellows in the project are collaborating on a universal theme every month from February 2023 through May 2023. Fellows are students from The University of Arizona and four public universities in Yemen: University of Aden, Hadramout University, Taiz University, and the University of Saba Region.

The February project focuses on “street food.” Students' photojournalism stories picture different types of street food, how street food can be part of people's daily lives, and how it can reflect the culture of societies.

Photographs and captions were submitted for a juried competition. The top photographs for February 2023 follow.
