Spirit Week Fun

This past week we had a fun spirit week which included Thursday’s students dress like teachers and teachers dress like students. In the picture below Mrs. Lerdahl picked Michael Muneer as her inspiration for her spirit day outfit.

Monday, May 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

All students and their families are welcome to attend!

Students and families may also host a table about a country/culture or perform on stage. More details to come from your Social Studies teacher.

This event is hosted by the Smith International Club.

TESTING FOR 6TH AND 7TH GRADES WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THE WEEKS OF APRIL 25TH AND MAY 2ND.

The Troy High School and Athens High School Model UN Teams are excited to announce the Model United Nations (MUN) 2022 Spring MUNkey VII Conference and Workshop for Middle School students! The conference will be taking place SATURDAY, MAY 14th at Troy High School starting at 9am. This yearly conference is a great opportunity for ANY student interested regardless of prior knowledge as the conference provides an early exposure and learning experience and hosts three tracks – experienced, intermediate, and novice – to foster inclusion and cater to each student's skill set. Attached you will find a promotional flyer about the event and linked here is the Google Registration Form where you will find all the registration info, as well as the permission statement, and payments can be made via School Pay. Register by MONDAY, MAY 9th to secure your spot and get all the information necessary! Would you like to hang out with your friends, get some exercise and show off your awesome running, jumping, and throwing skills all while enjoying the beautiful Spring weather?! If you answered yes to any of those questions, then SMITH TRACK is for you!!!!

Track Season will be starting right after spring break!

Any 7th and 8thgrade boys and girls interested in participating this Spring need to sign up on Final Forms and upload a physical as soon as possible. The first practice will be held on Wednesday, April 13th after school until 4:15pm. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Walls (Science) and Ms. Reem (girls' coaches), and Mr. Losey (boys' coach).
