The Baker Blast April 30, 2022

Above: On Friday April 29th, 7th Grade Social Studies students hosted the Baker Arcade Day! This is an assessment for the social studies mythology unit. The entire 7th grade created video games based on different mythologies of historical events. They used an app called Bloxels, which allows them to tell stories and share their knowledge of the curriculum by creating Super Mario Brother style games.

The students used their creativity and innovation to produce some amazing games. In addition, the students created arcade cabinets to hold their iPad and create an 80’s type arcade feel. To celebrate their learning, the students invited everyone to stop by their arcade set up in the Flag Hallway to enjoy the excitement and creativity. Our students and staff truly enjoyed the experience. It was a great way to end the week! To learn more about the Arcade Day and the Bloxels application, watch the videos and view the pictures below.
