Lute Women's Tennis vs. CC of Spokane 2022-2023 Pacific Lutheran University Women's Tennis Digital Match Program

Setting the Scene: Off to it's best start since the 2013-2014 season, the Lutes look to continue that momentum this weekend with Community Colleges of Spokane coming to the Galbraith Tennis Center for a non-conference dual match.

About the Lutes: PLU (5-2) won two of its three dual matches last week. The Lutes downed crosstown rival University of Puget Sound 6-1 on Wednesday before rolling Highline College 6-3 on Friday night. On Saturday, the Lutes fell 8-1 to a tough team from the College of Idaho.

Jillian Chong was the star for the Lutes during the week, winning all three of her singles matches while also winning two doubles matches with partner Meggie Burnett. Chong's performance earned her NWC Player of the Week accolades on Monday.

Chong and First-year Chloe Andrewjeski lead the team in wins, both notching five victories in singles play. Chong is 5-1 at No. 3 doubles while Andrewjeski enjoys a 5-2 mark at No. 1.

About the Bigfoot: CC of Spokane (0-1) faces Puget Sound on Friday prior to the tilt with the Lutes. The Bigfoot's lone match this season was a 9-0 setback to Whitworth back on Feb. 12.
