There are numbers of advantages and disadvantages of having no adults around. On the island the young boys were faced with surviving by themeselves without having any adults to guide them and help them stay alive. The island was uninhabited with no one around to help them. They were the only ones and they had no way of contacting someone for help.

ADVANTAGES- There is a number of advantages living on an island with no inhabitants. For one you are alone with not many people and you have no rules to follow. With no rules means no following which allows you to have your own choice of freedom. Being on an island means that you can do anything you want with it and do anything on it. On the island in this situation there is no adults so they would not boss you around either and you wouldn't have to feel like a child again.

DISADVANTAGES- Although there is lots of advantages to being on an island, there is actually more disadvantages. On the island there is no human made objects of any kind. If you are on this island it means that you are basically stranded, with no food, water or shelter. You have to find and make all this stuff to survive. You could die within two days on the island. Having no adults is a huge disadvantage as well, having no adults means no rules and no guidens. Having no adults would mean that you wouldn't have anyone wise and knew what they were doing. If you are someone who doesn't know how to survive then you will probaley die.
