Success for All!
Heat Pad Fundraiser for Local Food Bank

Students from École Quarterway Elementary School were learning how to sew heat pads as part of a fundraising effort. The entire class of Late French Immersion students are seen here learning basic sewing skills under the direction of Teacher-Librarian Dominique Sullivan. Students were making one to keep and the other to be sold, with proceeds donated to Loaves & Fishes.

Regular Board Meeting

At the Regular Board Meeting on Wednesday, December 15, the Board of Education approved the Statement of Financial Information (SOFI) report for the year ending June 30, 2021. The Board also approved the terms of reference for the Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability Advisory Committee and endorsed the Snuneymuxw Longhouse Learning & Healing Framework. Secretary-Treasurer Mark Walsh shared an update on the upcoming 2022 trustee by-election and information about the South Wellington lease. View the agenda here.

Winter Shutdown

As we get ready for Winter Break, it's time to shut the schools down for the winter break. Please remember to:

  • Close all windows and blinds in all classrooms
  • Turn off desktops and monitors in all classrooms (please do not leave in sleep mode)
  • Turn off all power bars in all classrooms
  • Turn off workstations and monitors in computer labs and classrooms (do not turn off servers)
  • And finally, unplug anything from the wall outlets in the classrooms and any small appliances in staff rooms
