Uner Tan Syndrome By:Grant Miller

Uner Tan Syndrome is a syndrome that is originally in Turkey with the Ulas family. The actual definition of Uner Tan syndrome is when kids of the Ulas family walk on all fours and show severe mental retardation. What happens to the body when affected by this syndrome is many mental problems like unaware of time and problems with communication. But most importantly some of the children walk on all fours.

The cause of this disorder is not very well known but many scientists think that it is from consanguinity which is insest in Arabic tradition. This is very prone to genetic disorders including Uner Tan. But it's very recessive that's why it is not very well known.

Some treatments have been made such as, scientists have come in and metal bars around there surroundings so that they are encouraged to help workout and stretch their backs. So far two of the children have been know to walk because of this treatment. No other people have been diagnosed except the Ulas family in Turkey so it is very unlikely that any one else will be diagnosed with this disorder

So in conclusion, there is a family from Turkey who may seem normal but something is not, some of the children from the Ulas family walk on our fours. When discovered in 2005, there was a huge debate on whether they were a product of reverse evolution. This syndrome is know to cause mental retardation and a lack of coordination and balance. The reason for this is unknown but many people think that children's parents share the same blood. This is an Arabic tradition which is called consanguinity. This makes you more prone to genetic disorders
