Beccaria's ideas
Cesare believed in criminal justice that each crime should be taken in carefully and given the right punishment for the crime. He thought even the criminals should still have their rights as well as the victims have their rights. Each crime should define the appropriate punishment for each different punishment should have assigned specific roles o various members of the court. Cesare as well thought he needed to reform the the ways people set up laws. He believed that certain laws should be determined by specific people. That each law should be for made for people that will benefit them.

With Cesare's accomplishments in criminal justice he had helped shaped the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Cesare wrote an essay called "On Crimes and Punishments" served to a big guide for the founding fathers. He still makes an impact on recent politics going on now. His essay and theories like the truths in sentencing and swift punishments are still people using today. As well as his thought about the death penalty being abolished now some U.S. states getting rid of it. Beccaria's theories helped many people through the years and are still being used till this day.
Quote of wisdom
"It is better to prevent crimes than to punish them." I believe this quote is saying people need to focus how to prevent crimes and make sure that all of the focus is going in on the work to make sure we have to problems. When we are able to prevent them all together we won't have to worry about having to punish anything and spend money on the punishments if we already have taken care of the problem.
Challenging traditional beliefs
He challenged a lot of different peoples belief during that time. The death penalty was a big one because during this time it was an easy punishment to give for a wide variety of crimes. He was able to make sure that everyone has equal rights in criminal justice system. Where it use to be just high leaders being able to decide what they believe is right and now one was equal. Even still today people are argumentative towards his theories. They were good enough to make a huge change in the system and give everyone rights and reform the criminal justice system.
