THINK GREEN, LET'S FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE

We are currently experiencing the consequences of climate change.

Students from Catalonia and Italy involved in an Erasmus Project show us these effects in both countries in order to raise awareness about this issue and discover what is happening.

HOW ARE WE GOING TO WORK?

• Students from each country in their respective schools will work collaboratively in heterogeneous groups of 5 students.

• Each group will make a short video (1-1:30 minutes long maximum) explaining one of the effects of climate change in the area where they live.

  • STEP 1: Each group will develop a different topic related to climate change. Some of the effects that occur nowadays due to climate change are: loss of biodiversity (animals and plants), tropicalization (effects on agriculture and the harvest), extreme weather fenomena (fires, temperature increase, desertification, heavy rains...) and the raising of the sea level and the melting of the glaciers. First, each group will do a preliminary research to obtain information about the causes of climate change and the consequences in their natural environment.
  • STEP 2: We suggest making a video script in order to plan all the details and the organisation of the video.
  • STEP 3: This is a cooperative task. Therefore, you are expected to work together, to help each other and to distribute tasks equally. There will be five main roles: a videomaker, a scriptwriter, a video editor, a secretary responsible for editing the mobile history map and uploading all the contents, and last but not least, a coordinator.
  • STEP 3: Decide where you will shoot the video and prepare all the material before you start.
  • STEP 4: Write a three-paragraph summary of the video. It should contain an introduction (presentation of the problem), a central paragraph (causes and effects of this problem) and a conclusion (how to prevent it in the future). The text should be between 10-15 lines.
  • STEP 5: Once the video is done, the secretary will have to register on the following platform: https://mhm.mobileworldcapital.com/ca_ES/escenari/3300/showedit
  • STEP 6: Once you are registered, request access to the platform.
  • STEP 7: When the teacher gives you access to the platform, a representative from each group will have to geolocate the place where you made the video and create a point on the map.
  • STEP 8: Upload your written summary, the link of the video (youtube) and some pictures.

When the project is finished, you will be able to see a map with several points that will show how climate change is affecting us.

WHAT IS THE MOBILE HISTORY MAP?
