  • The Diplomats fell to 1-2 in dual meets with a pair of tough setbacks in Virginia against VMI (L, 24-15) and Duke (L, 19-18)
  • Mason Leiphart (125 lbs.), Gio Diaz (133 lbs.), and John Crawford (197 lbs.) each went undefeated in the two duals while Nick Alvarez (157 lbs.) won his match in the only dual he wrestled against the Blue Devils
  • Crawford's most notable win came during a 6-3 decision against VMI's Tyler Mousaw who was a Southern Conference (SoCon) runner-up a season ago and has been nationally-ranked at multiple times throughout his career

W. Roy Phillips '34 Wrestling Coach Mike Rogers

  • Entering 13th season as head coach
  • Coached nine NCAA Division I qualifiers at F&M, highlighted by 2014 All-American and two-time EIWA Champion Rick Durso '16.
  • Team went 8-2 in duals last season for the highest single-season win percentage this century
  • Led team to 10th-highest GPA in Division I during F&M's last full season, including new school records for NWCA Academic All-Americans and EIWA Scholar-Athletes

  • Qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2016 after placing sixth at the Big Ten Championships while competing for Rutgers

Rob Morrison

  • PIAA AAA South Central Champion from Cedar Cliff High School, eventually placing third at the state championships

Antonio Pelusi '19
